About the Task Force

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Task Force was created by Section 40 of House Bill 5003-E during the 2026E Legislature and is housed within the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The task force is charged with evaluating how ABA services are delivered under Florida Medicaid so that care remains high-quality and family-centered, the program stays financially sustainable and predictable, and current recipients and families do not experience a disruption in access.

Over the course of five meetings, the ten-member task force will examine clinical care models, care transitions, quality metrics, service-authorization limits, potential caps on service duration, and provider enrollment and billing standards, then develop recommendations for the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by December 31, 2026.
