Submit a NominationEligibility & Nomination GuidelinesPlease review the detailed criteria below for each award to ensure your nominee is eligible. It is highly suggested that you type your award nomination details into a Word or Pages document in order to easily complete the required fields in the online nomination form. Important Note on Research Awards: For research awards (Sustainable World and Skinner Foundation), all required materials must be provided at the time of submission. Research Grants & ScholarshipsFunding for student and sustainable research Grant Recipients Receive: A $500 stipend for a one-year (max) study, recognition at the annual awards ceremony, a commemorative plaque, and an exclusive invitation to the Awards Luncheon with the FABA Board.
The B. F. Skinner Foundation Florida Graduate Student Research AwardThis research award consists of a $500 grant to assist in funding graduate student-driven research. Eligibility: Applicants must be a current FABA member attending a graduate-level program in Florida. The Behavior Change for a Sustainable World Research AwardInitiated in 2018 by William Heward, this award is meant to support research using behavior analysis concepts and principles to promote sustainable practice and environmentally friendly behavior change. Member Nominated AwardsRecognition for service and excellence Award Recipients Receive: Complimentary conference registration, 2 nights of hotel accommodations, and an exclusive invitation to the Luncheon following the awards ceremony.
Glenn Latham Scholarship AwardIn honor of Glenn Latham, this award is intended to recognize parents, foster parents or direct care staff who have exemplified quality behavioral treatment. Full Criteria Cathy Lee Buchanan Behavior Change Success AwardThis award will recognize a committed, caring behavior analyst who uses behavior analysis procedures to improve the lives of others. Full Criteria Charles Kimber Public Service AwardThis award is given for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis in the Community. Full Criteria Michael Hemingway and Gerald Shook Public Service AwardBestowed for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis in Florida. Full Criteria David Niederpruem Memorial FundEstablished to honor the impact that Dave Niederpruem made on the lives of his students. Full Criteria Principles and Practice AwardHonoring those who align scientific excellence with ethical application. Full Criteria Jose Martinez-Diaz Memorial AwardEstablished to honor the memory of a great mentor to the field, Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz. Full Criteria Mentorship AwardEstablished to recognize individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to guiding the academic, professional, and personal growth of trainees. Full Criteria Mid-career Scientific Excellence AwardEstablished to recognize sustained, high-impact research contributions to the field of behavior analysis. Full Criteria Early Career Scientific Excellence AwardEstablished to recognize innovative, significant research achievements and potential for future impactful contributions to the field of behavior analysis.
