Jose Martinez-Diaz Memorial AwardThis fund was established to honor the memory of a great recruiter to the field of behavior analysis: Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz. With his passion for the science, and a gregarious personality, Jose drew people into the field, and encouraged those in the field to always reach higher. This award is intended for an RBT, direct care staff, educator, or student/prospective student of behavior analysis that has a passion for the science and practice, and needs assistance to pursue further behavior analytic education (undergraduate or graduate level training in behavior analysis, etc.). This is a member nominated award. Nominations may come from employers or supervisors who have direct contact with the nominee and should consist of a short essay describing their experience with the nominee, as well as why they believe the nominee should receive the award. Eligible individuals include RBTs, direct care staff, or other professionals seeking to begin or further education in behavior analysis. The nominator or nominee must also submit information about how the award will be used (e.g., applied toward graduate coursework). The purpose of the award is to provide funding to be used to being or continue their behavior analytic coursework required for BACB certification through a VCS, attending a state or national behavior analytic conference. |
