Tia GloverCandidate for Member-at-Large 2026 FABA Board of Directors Election Professional BiographyTia Glover, MPH, M.Ed., BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, behavioral health executive, and passionate advocate for expanding the reach of behavior analysis across healthcare and beyond. As an active member of the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis, she is committed to strengthening the profession, creating new opportunities for behavior analysts, and demonstrating the value of behavioral science in settings far beyond traditional ABA services. Tia has more than 15 years of experience in social services and community behavioral healthcare, including over a decade in senior leadership. She serves as Regional Director for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, where she oversees nine behavioral healthcare facilities across Florida. In this role, she leads multidisciplinary teams serving youth and families with complex behavioral and mental health needs in psychiatric residential settings. Her work has allowed her to advocate for the greater integration of behavior analysts within psychiatric care, behavioral healthcare, public health, and interdisciplinary treatment systems. A major focus of Tia’s work is expanding and strengthening the behavior-analytic workforce. After recognizing the significant underrepresentation of Black professionals within the field, she initiated efforts to bring formal ABA education to a Historically Black College or University. Her advocacy and collaboration with Florida A&M University helped lead to the development and upcoming launch of FAMU’s bachelor’s- and master’s-level programs in Applied Behavior Analysis. Upon launch, FAMU will become the first HBCU to offer both undergraduate and graduate degree pathways in ABA. This historic achievement will create new opportunities for students to enter the profession, increase representation, and prepare future behavior analysts to serve diverse communities. Tia is also the Founder and President of the Association of Black Behavioral Health Professionals, where she promotes mentorship, networking, professional development, leadership, and workforce advancement. She previously served as President of the Black Applied Behavior Analysts Association and continues to advocate for greater representation and leadership opportunities within behavior analysis. Her commitment to expanding ABA also extends into health, fitness, and community wellness. As a certified Pilates instructor, Tia teaches and develops inclusive Pilates experiences for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Through this work, she uses behavior-analytic principles to support participation, skill development, physical wellness, independence, and meaningful community inclusion. This initiative reflects her broader vision of applying behavior analysis across the lifespan and within every area where behavior change can improve health and quality of life. Tia is an established speaker who presents at professional conferences, summits, and forums on behavior analysis, behavioral health leadership, workforce development, systems transformation, and the expansion of ABA into emerging areas of practice. She believes behavior analysts should be recognized as essential contributors within healthcare, mental health, education, fitness and wellness, organizational leadership, public policy, and community-based systems. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and Business and a Master of Public Health from Florida A&M University, as well as a Master of Education in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Florida. She serves on the Board of Directors for ALW Cares and the Advisory Board for the Seminole High School Academy of Health Careers. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the National Association of Professional Women, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. As a candidate for the FABA Board of Directors, Tia seeks to bring a systems-level, forward-thinking perspective to the organization. Her goals include advocating for Florida’s behavior analysts, strengthening professional and leadership pathways, supporting students and early-career professionals, increasing collaboration across disciplines, and expanding the application of behavior analysis into every facet of healthcare and beyond. She is committed to helping FABA advance a future in which behavior analysts are empowered to lead, innovate, and improve lives across diverse communities and systems. |
