Shannon LevesqueCandidate for Member-at-Large 2026 FABA Board of Directors Election Professional BiographyI have dedicated my career to improving the lives of individuals through compassionate, evidence-based behavior analysis. Over the past six years, I have provided services across clinic, school, community, and in-home settings, supporting children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I have developed extensive experience conducting behavioral assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, supervising and mentoring BCBAs, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and student analysts, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and partnering with school districts and families to improve meaningful outcomes. Throughout my career, I have advanced into leadership positions including Lead Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director, where I have focused on developing clinicians, strengthening service quality, and fostering ethical, collaborative workplace cultures. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about leadership development, systems improvement, and mentoring the next generation of behavior analysts. My growing interest in Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) has strengthened my ability to develop systems that support practitioners while improving outcomes for the individuals and families we serve. I believe behavior analysis is strongest when we invest not only in our clients, but also in our professionals, our organizations, and our communities. Since 2021, I have had the privilege of serving the Bay Area Association for Behavior Analysis (BAABA), a local chapter of FABA, first as Vice President and currently as President. During my tenure, I have worked alongside an incredible team to expand member engagement through networking events, continuing education opportunities, community outreach initiatives, and professional collaboration. I have represented BAABA by representing its members, and helping strengthen our organization's visibility throughout the region. I have also been an active member of the Co-FABA Conference Planning Committee, greatly contributing to conference planning by taking on leadership positions, presenting awards, creating conference logos, and collaborating with other local chapters leaders. Serving BAABA has reinforced my belief that strong professional organizations are built through collaboration, volunteerism, and creating opportunities for others to grow, connect, and lead. Serving as President of BAABA has shown me the incredible impact that dedicated volunteer leaders can have on our profession. Through this experience, I have gained a greater appreciation for FABA's role in advancing behavior analysis, supporting professionals throughout their careers, and fostering collaboration across Florida. I am seeking the opportunity to serve as Member-at-Large because I want to help strengthen those connections on a statewide level. I believe one of FABA's greatest strengths is its ability to bring behavior analysts together to share ideas, develop leaders, and elevate the quality of services provided to the individuals and families we serve. If elected, I hope to support initiatives that strengthen collaboration between FABA and its local chapters, expand leadership development opportunities for emerging professionals, and encourage greater involvement from students, RBTs, newly certified BCBAs, and experienced practitioners alike. I also hope to promote greater networking and knowledge-sharing across clinical, educational, and community settings, recognizing that our diverse experiences make our profession stronger. It would be an honor to serve on the FABA Board as Member at Large. I am committed to representing our members with integrity, supporting FABA's mission, and helping strengthen the future of behavior analysis throughout Florida. |
