AHCA has reached out to FABA to help share information to providers. Here is the information they asked us to share:
The Agency continues to process Medicaid health plan disenrollments for voluntary participants who choose to opt out of participation in the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program. Voluntary participants who contact the Agency or the Enrollment Broker anytime during the month of February 2025 and ask to opt out of SMMC, will be retroactively disenrolled from the Medicaid health plan effective 2/1/2025.
· If you provided services and submitted a Fee-for-service (FFS) claim for a date of service (DOS) in February 2025 for a voluntary participant, and
· The FFS claim denied due to the voluntary participant’s active enrollment in a Medicaid health plan, and
· After the DOS, the voluntary participant chose to opt out of SMMC in February 2025,
· You can rebill the FFS claim for the February 2025 date of service.
